Josephine Anderson is a servant. Born Sep 1872 in Sweden. In this census, immigration year is given as 1889 (In 1930 census it says 1888)

In the marriage record for Josephine and Gustav Henry, it said Josephine came from Medevi, Östergötland. Also on birthrecords for a couple of children, it said their mother was from Medive, Sweden.
For another child, it said mother came from Eskasund. (I think maybe that would be Askersund) Not too far from Medivi either.

I rented a roll of birth records from Medevi, but could not find her.
I am thinking that maybe she left from Medevi to USA, but maybe she was born somewhere else. Have searched Ancestry.com and didn't find anything else about her that would indicate where she came from. I have not found a death record.

Her name is listed in a Concord directory for 1960 Living at 87 1/2 North Spring Street

Josephine moved to Hammar 1880. Rest of the family to Brevik 1883.

Searched the Naturalization Index, but could not find her. If she naturalized with her father, I cannot tell which one he is. There were dozens of Carl Anderson from Sweden. 30 Nov 2005 -- gm
